This is part of a concerted effort by all levels of government to de-list regions in the Basin that had been identified as Areas of Concern in the Canada – United States Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. providing effective resource and expenditure management; ensuring appropriate accountability and reporting mechanisms to Parliament and central agencies for the administration of all communication activities;
