It's made trickier by the fact that since Thatcherism and the defeat of the unions, there aren't really any existing examples of mass working-class organisations that we can compare ourselves against.

Coleman’s theory of rational action is a specific versionn of utility maximization embedded in a macro-micro-framework. While Marxist communism retains many ideological values in common with the capitalist order (for example, agreement on the progressive historic role of industrialization, and on the necessity of hierarchical order and labor), anarchism has gradually broadened its critique, and so has severed these connections. In addition, the high degree of egalitarianism and freedom achieved under communalism was made possible in no small measure by low levels of production.

Weitling, like Proudhon, was a self-taught working man, a tailor who had been involved in one of Blanqui's Parisian uprisings during the 1830's, and was now forming secret societies among Swiss working men who would listen to his preaching of a revolution carried out with merciless violence and leading paradoxically to an idyllic Utopian world. Etymologically, the former is the sounder description since liberalism is derived from the word "liberty," that is, freedom and toleration rather than notions of justice and intervention that took on board in the Twentieth Century.
